Predictive Maintenance, Vibration Analysis & Condition Monitoring
The term Predictive Maintenance is used to describe targeted maintenance that focuses on planned, as opposed to reactive maintenance. VA & CM give you the foresight required for an effective Predictive Maintenance program.
Vibration Analysis is the study of the vibration signature of a piece of rotating or reciprocating plant machinery to determine the cause of the vibration. Unbalance, looseness, misalignment, belt problems, motor electrical issues, bent shafts and bearing wear problems (including incorrect installation/clearances and lubrication issues) are identified.
A Condition Monitoring Program consists of monitoring machine assets on a regular basis. From the implementation of a base line and continued surveys of vibration data a trend can be created.
Correct condition monitoring will allow the maintenance team to plan the required maintenance/repairs for a time that is convenient and avoid breakdowns with costly down time.
Oil & Lubrication Analysis offers a further insight into the machine condition by analysing the particulates and trending the oil contaminants.
